Between Us.
This piece came together with collaged inspiration, layered history, and a bit of Southern soul. I worked with vintage Saturday Evening Post pages, ink-stained musical dictionary sheets, vintage Opry songbooks, and a 1915 Chatterbox book I picked up at the Franklin Antique Mall, along with so much more.
It was fun to see the variation in color across these aged papers, and even more interesting to work with such delicate materials. This intimate scene lives on a 30” x 40” wood panel, framed.
