Meet Huckleberry. This 30”x40” layered piece came together slowly during a week when everything felt unsettled. I worked at a different pace than usual, which brought extra focus on details. Huckleberry is pieced together with ink washed vintage Collier and Saturday Evening Post magazines, his background layered with pages from a 1915 Chatterbox book and the bamboo setting is created with pages from Huckleberry Finn and ink stained architectural drawings.
