Margaret and Peabody

$4,200.00

Meet Margaret and Peabody. Margaret’s skirt is pieced together in a quilt-like fashion using ink-stained pages from 1930s–1940s Collier and Saturday Evening Post magazines. Her blouse is created from the same vintage pages, washed in white, while her body is formed from ink-stained architectural drawings.

I was drawn to this girl holding a mallard squirming to be released. There’s something poetic in her seriousness, she feels both feminine and strong, holding something close that isn’t meant for everyone, or forever.

She sits on a 30” × 30” wood panel, with a background layered in pages from The Grapes of Wrath, echoing the push and pull between the world, nature, and resilience.

Framed. Not currently available, This piece will be available at the 2026 Harding Art Show in Nashville, TN.
